Vintage and More

Ok, I love Neil Gaiman with an obsession that could be and probably is unhealthy.
He's very nice to his fans, seems like a good dad, likes cats and dogs, cute in a scruffy way, British and just an all round fantastic writer.
Stardust is one of my more favorite books he has written and now it is a movie.
I figured it would suck since pretty much most fantasy ends up sucking as a movie.
So wrong.
Go see it.
So wonderful.
Sweet and funny and my hubby (not a big fantasy fan) even liked it.

*on an annoying note our teen is pissed at us for going on a "date" and leaving him home when he wanted to see the movie too.

I just want to get this off of my chest about Lily and Snape:

Dear God.
SEV is now canon...

JK you make my brain hurt.

I have a lot to say about OOTP and really I enjoyed it so much better on a 2nd viewing, but I'll keep it breif.

I agree with so much others have said.
Bellatrix is made of awesome.
Lucius in leather, yum.
Not enough Snape, but more the normal.
Umbridge, perfect.
Luna was just as I pictured her.
I really don't like Sirius, but loved movie!Sirius with his Mack Daddy velvets and the pimp coat.
Could have left out Garwp and I would have been happy.
Weasley twins, squee.


And Dawlish?
My 1st thought was "WTH is Constantine doing in OOTP?"
All he needed was a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. I was wondering where the rest of the trench coat brigade was.

I know I never post on this thing.
I spend most of my time quietly lurking in the background reading
my friends journals.

I'm also, in many ways, a complete dork when it comes to "where to find"
things on the internet.
BUT DEAR GOD!
Someone, someone please tell me where you people are downloading The Doctor.
I need the last episode of Doctor Who before I read certain folks journals and get all spoiled.

BTW, before I begin let me comment first on Gweneth Paltrow and her perennially droopy tits. Why is she allowed to leave the house without a strapless bra on? Does she think all the world enjoys her droopy boobs? What is the deal with Paltrow and her boobs?
Why do so many stars not seem to understand the need for;
A. Boning within ones gown
OR
B. Proper foundation garments.
